  3. Europe and Africa below and Jerusalem at the
  4. centre (reflecting Christian religious rather
  5. than geographical belief). It was drawn by
  6. David de Bello, a canon at Hereford
  7. Cathedral, England, who left the map to the
  8. cathedral, where it was used as an
  9. altarpiece. In 1988 there were plans to sell
  10. the map to raise money for repairs.
